    My family settled Terra Ceia FL in the mid 1800′s. I’ve struggled to find what language the name is derived from and the meaning. I agree it’s close to the Spanish Tierra, and Cielo meaning earth and sky respectively. Do you have more definitive origin and translation?

    • Thank you very much! Yes, you are probably the first person to figure out the origin of the name of this piece. We felt the piece had an earth and sky feel to it. We stumbled upon the town of Terra Ceia, FL and discovered the rough origin of the name… We thought this would be a great name for this piece.
